Valve Tag
(1.) Similar to a
panel tag; a relatively
small nameplate,
decal, or
label used to
identify the device number and/or function of panel or field mounted
solenoid valves, limit switches, relays, pressure switches, motors,
etc.
(2.) Typically, a small metal or
plastic nameplate with
one hole, hung by chain, wire or other attaching device, used to
designate a gas or liquid valve number, location, and/or function.
Vector Image
A type of computer graphics file. Vector images,
also called object-oriented or draw images, are defined
mathematically as a series of points joined by lines. Vector images
are composed of lines or line based objects rather than dots as in a bitmap image. Unlike bitmap images, Vector images can be
easily edited, modified or scaled, and are the preferred types of
images for most manufacturing processes. Examples of Vector images
are created by such programs as Corel Draw and Adobe Illustrator.

Vinyl
Polyvinyl chloride (or Vinyl) is the most common
plastic
in use in the world. PVC is extruded or
cast as
sheet
or film goods. These
substrates are available in a
variety of colors and thicknesses and are weather and chemical
resistant. Vinyl film is typically backed with an adhesive that will
create a strong bond when pressure is applied.

Weed
When producing pre-spaced
vinyl
letters and graphics, a sheet of vinyl is first
kiss cut
using a plotter. The next step, weeding, is the
process of peeling away extraneous vinyl from the liner
leaving only the sections representing the final image(s).
